So an oldie but a goodie. I fancied myself a jogger. With the help of my friend we started couch to 5k. Fair enough, this one I have done before but it was a long time ago. I also wanted to try jogging for the fun of it rather than having a weekly weight loss goal in mind. In the past, movement has been to burn more calories. A target in mind all the time and beating myself up to get there. So for once I thought I would do some exercise just for the fun of it. We had a bit of a loose schedule and Sarah Millican and we were off.

My running legs were better than I thought. I really enjoyed the first week. Completing it with someone was great as well as you knew you were doing it right. We enjoyed some lovely views in our local area. I only got caught in the rain once. I also quickly learnt which routes had the most hills. Some times choosing to give these areas a miss. I was as fit as I imagined and it was not a pretty sight for anyone who saw me. But I could feel the benefits quite quickly. I had more energy and was sleeping better. We made it to week 4 before my running partner could no longer join in as she had fallen pregnant!! which was very exciting news. For me it was good to not think about my weight, or my body and for the first time look at how far I had come rather than what I had left to do. I snapped a lovely picture of where I was on my last run of the month. Couldn't ask for a better gym.
