May - Gardening

So on with our house a home. Gardening was the choice this month so I could enjoy the fruits of my labour as summer approaches. Our terrace has a yard with some bedding areas. Initially, I got a gardens to give us a quote for some work but the £2,500 price tag put me off. This months challenge suddenly because very clear. I might not get a grand end result but a usable garden was all I needed. See where I started below.

Getting everything cleared was the dullest part. While the end result was satisfying there were a few trips to the dump. Luckily May brought some fabulous weather so it mean I could keep going and not be rained off. The paving I did with my husband. This was a very new skills and I thought if we ruined the garden together there would be less arguments. After some diligent watching of You Tube and loading the car up at B&Q we did it. Just 4 paving slabs but it made a whole new feature to our yard. We now have a place for a fire pit or BBQ. I also treated us to a pressure washer so we can keep on top of the maintenance of the yard. See results below
